Big Weekend of First Round Football

The first round of the playoffs saw some great games. Two in particular were close games as the Texas Xtreme won over the San Antonio Warriors, 7-0. The West Texas Pride squeeked by the West Texas Drillers by one point, 17-16. The defending CRAFL Champion Houston Ducks had a close game, not as close at the two previously mentioned but either way, the Ducks fought hard to win by 14 points over the Texas Mustangs, 44-20.

The rest of the games were not as close. The Austin Vipers won 48-6 over the Capital City Bison. The Dallas Vikings won by over three touchdowns, defeating the Texas Rhinos, 30-8. And finally, the West Texas Lions defeated the North Texas Orcas, 77-6.

The final eight look like this. The Austin Vipers travel to Victoria to play the Hurricanes. The Houston Ducks will be hosting the Texas Xtreme. On the Northern side of CRAFL, the North Texas Stampede host the Dallas Vikings. Last but not least, the West Texas Pride host the West Texas Lions.

Check back on Friday to for a preview of these games.

  1. Good job to all who won their first round games. A lot of close games in the first round, I myself was at the Dallas Viking vs. Lonestar Rhinos game , very good game.
